Peter Schindelbeck

Peter Louis "Pete" Schindelbeck, born on April 25, 1951, in Easton, Pennsylvania, passed away on May 18, 2025, in Fruitland, Maryland at his home with his family by his side. Pete grew up in Milton, Jefferson Township New Jersey. He moved to Fruitland, MD in 1971. He was 74 years old.

Pete's life was marked by a deep appreciation for the open road and the green fairways. He lived to ride his Harley and cherished every opportunity to play a round of golf. These passions brought him joy and camaraderie throughout his life.

He is survived by his beloved partner of 31 years, Lois Thomas. Pete's family includes his sister Jayne Hoffman and her husband David; sister Inge Akau; brother David Vanderhoof; and brother Johnathan Vanderhoof and his wife Penny. He was a devoted father to Stacey Gardner and her husband Charles; Dawn Manella and her partner Tommy; Peter Schindelbeck and his fiance Crystal; Shawn Schindelbeck and his wife Jaime; and Angie Thomas.

Pete's legacy continues through his grandchildren: Charles Gardner and his wife Kim, Steven Gardner, Amanda Waddington and her husband Mike, Kevin Bracken, Hayley Schindelbeck, Stefan Schindelbeck, Kyle Schindelbeck, and Rebekah Schindelbeck. He also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will remember him with love.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ludwig Schindelbeck and Paul and Janet Williams Card; sisters Christine "Christa " Metka and Marianne Tung; and grandson Joey Bracken.

Pete's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him-through shared stories of rides taken under wide skies or quiet moments spent on the golf course. May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date for immediate family and close friends.
