SCHUB--Peter. Peter Schub, a revered photography agent, died in his home in New York City on March 19, 2021. Peter was born in Leipzig, Germany and was educated in London. He emigrated to the United States, joining the Army and serving in Okinawa during World War II. After the war he established himself in New York City and turned his great interest in the new field of magazine fashion photography into a career as a distinguished agent. He negotiated for some of the most prominent fashion photographers of the 20th Century - Irving Penn, Peter Beard and Anthony Armstrong Jones - establishing and supporting their careers. A charming and elegant man, Peter was central to a devoted group of close friends and divided his time between a farm in Bridgehampton and a beautiful home overlooking the East River. While many who loved him have passed, those who were with him in his last days will mourn him deeply. He was predeceased by his lifetime partner Bob Bear.
