Peter Phil and Mark in Gimli unwinding after a day of classes. Circa 1980
Phil Moreau
June 17, 2015
I am sorry that I could not attend today but am grateful for the opportunity to express my sincere condolences to the family.
Peter and I began our careers as Rail Traffic Controllers when we spent two months in Gimli Manitoba training, and we stayed in touch while working together at CN.
I will always remember Peter as being a quiet, thoughtful, supportive, and intelligent colleague with s sharp sense of humor who did not tolerate fools gladly.
We lost touch after our career paths parted but I have always kept very fond memories. I will never forget how he and Karen reached us to us when our daughter died.
My life was made better having known him.
He was a good man and he will be missed
Sincerely
Phil Moreau

I was deeply saddened to hear this news. Peter was a good friend during my years at Camrose Lutheran College (Augustana), and - when we all transferred en masse to the U of A - he was a frequent visitor to our House of 6 (all of us CLC grads) in Edmonton. My deepest sympathies to your family.
