Peter Sokolik Obituary
SOKOLIK, Peter
Peter Sokolik (aka Pickerel Pete), beloved
father, gido and great-gido passed away
peacefully with his daughters by his side on
July 16, 2011 at the age of 84 years.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly
remembered by his daughters Donna
Sokolik-Holtby (Bill), Dianne Kabarchuk
(James) and Karen, son-in-law Ted Kennedy
and his grandchildren Jeffery, Erin, Bradley,
Jessica, Jennifer, Laura, Sara, Jena and little
Jack. Peter was predeceased by his loving
wife Mona, loving daughter Debra Kennedy
and his parents Steve and Pearl Sokolik.
A private Celebration of his Life will be held.
Peter will be forever remembered and greatly
missed by all.
"There is no place higher
than on Daddy's shoulders."
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in
Peter's memory to the Edmonton Humane
Society or Ovarian Cancer Canada.
Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded
to the family via the website

Dear Donna & Family, I was v saddened to learn of the passing of your father. I know he was happy in his new digs @ Waterford & looking forward to gaining a new beginning there. Wish I could have been there to laugh and cry with you all on the Wednesday. I loved Uncle Pete very much and will miss his teasing and smile. The humane Society is a great choice...Uncle Pete would have liked that....
