Peter was an exceptional person in many ways.
We became friends at Montgomery County Community College where he was the engineer for the college radio station (WRFM).

I think of Pete often. I worked with him at Unisys and he was a Great friend.
One special memory is when he took me and my two young sons for a plane ride around the area.

I only recently learned the sad news of Pete's death. Pete and I were very close friends in Junior High and High School. We worked on that white 63 Alfa together and we shared many of the same interests but sadly we lost touch in college. I often thought about my friends from Narberth, especially Pete. I am sorry that we were not able to reconnect now that I am back in the area. I know that Pete is missed and my heart goes out to the Stelzenmuller family who always treated me like a part of their family.

I met Peter in recent years and found him to be an excellent human being! I only met him on several brief occasions and was profoundly impressed with his kindness and consideration. Reading the comments here I am not surprised at all. Much love to his family and friends at this time. ~Shekinah Avraam (Denver CO)

Peter and I were best friends growing up in Narberth. He and his family had more influence on me than they will ever know.

There are countless stories that would be appropriate here, but I have no idea where to start or end. So let me just say this.

Anybody who knew Pete knows he was a very special person. Pete approached many things in ways no one else would. As we grew up and life took us both in our own directions, I came to realize his out of the box thinking was truly unique, and his brilliance was so understated. I like to think that the time I spent with Pete growing up shaped the way I approach things as well.

I hope everybody has friends in their life like I had with Pete. For the past several years we only talked once or twice a year, but every time we did, it was like we last talked yesterday.

To Connie and Bernie, Carol, Bill and Greg, I share your pain. I miss him too.

I met Pete on Saturday morning when I lost my comm radio and he was the only shop to answer the phone. He took care of my planes and we even became partners in one. He was a great pilot and friend. He is missed greatly.

I knew Pete since we were 8.
In fourth grade he won the Narberth Elementry School science fair by building an electro-mechanical calculator. That was in 1970.

He built a gas powered go-kart soon after from parts he salvaged from the trash in the neighborhood. Later, after restoring the 1963 Alfa-Romeo Gulietta Spider, he inspired me to restore my own car. He taught me how to drive a manual transmission at his family's vacation home in Veromnt. We rode to High School together almost every day. He taught me how to do body work, mechanical work, but most of all, to not be afraid of trying new chalenges. His talents always amazed all of us.

I'm happy to say that our gang from high school all got together for dinner several months ago and we got to catch up.

I can't imagine what it's like for his family, but I know I will always miss him. He has left us far too soon.

I've known Peter sind the 90s, when I used to call him as his account rep for UPSAT, before we became part of Garmin. I always enjoyed calling on Peter and found him to be one of the easiest of all of our dealers to work with. I think he had a great management philosophy and tried very hard to take care of his employees. We will miss him at Garmin.

My condolences to Peter’s family, friends and colleagues. Like many of Peter’s customers, I met him over 20 years ago when my ancient radios needed repair. Of course, he did a great job and I’ve been a returning customer ever since. I was always impressed with his knowledge, work ethic and his team at Penn Avionics. It’s with sadness that we say good bye to Peter while keeping the good memories of Peter in our thoughts.

Peter was a wonderful and gifted aviation expert, he up dated and maintained our PA 28 235...he was dedicated, hard working and an honest aviation avionics guy. He and his staff reflected the best in aviation. He will be missed in so many ways, sorry to hear of his passing at such a young age, but I'm glad our paths crossed in our life times.

I worked with Pete at Burroughs/Unisys for over 9 years. He was always a joy to talk to and work with, whether it be talking about fiber optics, circuit design, car repair, his latest philosophy class at Villanova, or his design of the "Cat-be-gone" litter box odor removal system. He was extremely intellegent, able to pick up any concept quickly and do the right thing to test it. It was always fun just stopping by the lab to shoot the breeze and hear his latest stories. He was a great friend and will be missed.

Shocking and very sad. I will remember Pete's smile, laugh, and his way of putting us at ease while taking an interest in both the large and small parts of our lives, and sharing his. My son's first time sitting in a plane was when Pete took the time to give us a personal tour. Peter, thank you for walking through our lives; we will miss you.

I am so saddened to hear of Peter's passing. As a customer, I always looked forward to speaking with him because of he great knowledge, his patience and the enormous gift of helping me understand the highly complex world of avionics. I always walked away enlightened and feeling that I had been treated like a friend.

I'm sorry to hear about Peter's passing. I worked wit him at Burroughs/Unisys Corp.
Twice I got a chance to go flying with Pete in his plane. In fact it was the first time I had ever been in an airplane. Pete had taken me from Wings Field and flew over Philadelphia...

Peter and I worked together at Unisys in the prototype labs. These were truly memorable times as Ed Pullin and Brian Lacey mentioned here. We were a bunch of young guys working hard and having some good laughs along the way. You meet people in your travels that really impress you. Pete was one of those guys. One of those WOW people.

Peace my friend.

I am very sorry to hear about Peter. I was very good friends with Pete during our years at Unisys. I learned a lot from him. I’ll never forget the time he took my sons and me for a plane ride up to Reading and back. A still have a picture hanging on the wall I took during that flight. A year or so ago I went to visit the Helicopter museum at the Brandywine Airport, and then drove over to the other side of the runway to visit Pete at his business. He was very proud of his business and gave me a nice tour of his operations.
My thoughts are with his family and close friends.

Peter was a close friend and colleague at Unisys. His electrical and mechanical abilities were unmatched. He would develop test equipment or prototypes complete with software control, and would never even flinch at the enormous task of implementing it all, yet he would just get it done. In the lab he was an artist. He taught me how to be an Engineer. I would often tell my current colleagues, that the best Engineer I ever encountered was a guy that taught himself, referencing Pete. Peter had the most incredible sense of humor. He made coming to work every day so great. He had the ability to spin a story so amazingly, that a simple occurence would become a full fledged hurricane by the end of the day. Pete was a great friend. He helped me so much, both professionally and personally. I am, very much saddened at his passing.

I had the privledge of working with Peter at Unisys for a number of years. Peter was a well respected and outstanding technical contributor at Unisys and I was always impressed with abilities. But even more than his technical abilities I appreciated his sense of humor and how much he made the workplace an enjoyable experience. I consider myself a lucky person to have met and shared many laughs with Peter and will miss him.
