PETER N. STONE

STONE, Peter N. Was born July 17, 1932 and raised in Amsterdam, NY and died May 29, 2016 in Morrisville, VT. Peter was known for his quick wit, sense of humor and uncanny ability for storytelling and will be missed by all who met him. He went to MIT and was a member of Delta Upsilon fraternity. Peter served as a captain in the Air Force stationed in Ohio in the 50's. An engineer by trade, he designed jet engines and then worked in sales so he could support his hobbies and sports-sailing, golf, tennis, biking, running, and his all-time love, skiing. He retired to Vermont so he could ski after living in Wayland, MA for 37 years. Peter just celebrated 46 years of marriage to Thalia (Tally) Stone and is survived by their daughter, Sindy Mulvey, son-in-law, Brendan Mulvey and two granddaughters, Eliza and Caroline and multiple nieces and nephews by whom he was affectionately known as "Uncle-Tons-of-Fun". A Celebration of his Life will be held Saturday, June 25 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Town & Country Inn, Mountain Road in Stowe, VT. Faith Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
