Hi Dad,
I speak to you all of the time, but felt like posting here to let you know how much you're missed. I know you're listening while I'm typing. I feel you around me all of the time. Your jacket and footguard gear still hangs in my closet and I smile at it each time I see it. Thanks for watching out for me, I know you are, and thanks to all the good fortune you have sent my way. I know you and mom are sending me good vibes, I feel them all of the time. Bentley misses his gramps also, just like we all do. Keep sending those positive vibes, I feel them, we feel them, and thank you for all you did and still do for me and my family.
Your name comes up almost every single time we get together with friends, whether it's a mention of your favorite "Better Call Saul" or just something witty you'd say. You provided and still provide many laughs. I'm thankful for you always. Much love and hi to mom, Dad. Love, Darren

One year since you left us Dad. Game one of the World Series coming on, I know you'd be calling me to talk about the Sox! Miss you.

A Father & Son team from the beginning- From my earliest memory Dad, I was by your side and wanted to do what you did everyday. You took me to work with you and taught me everything about the business. I learned the value of hard work, responsibility, courtesy and respect, an experience I carried with me into my adult life. Your music became my music. I learned to play the drums with your talents and encouragement and again, I followed you. You brought me to the Foot Guard and other gigs and when I was old enough, I joined and played right along side of you in at concerts and parades. We would make eye contact and just smile, a proud feeling I will keep with me always. I was always close by, a quick repair, hitting some tennis balls, by your side at the hospital, it didn't matter when or where. I didn't have to find myself because I found myself with you and I'm thankful for that time. I will miss you always, thank you for everything.

Our deepest sympathy. May you feel his strong presence with you always. As you navigate this earth, may you be guided by the love you share.

Dad, It still has not hit me that you're not here. However, I have memories and videos like this one that instantly make me smile. You loved your music and no matter where or when you heard it, you lit up. You loved playing it even more. This was our trip home from Maine a couple of weeks ago. He was tired but as soon as we put the jazz channel on, this is what happened. I hope you enjoy it as much as he did. Love you pops, I hope you find your way to your new white Jag! Love, Darren

How wonderful it is that my Cousin Peter passed away the same way he lived his life; surrounded by his loving family! He was such a gentle, kind, friendly and goodhearted soul who lived a good life. I know he will be sorely missed. I regret that I did not get a chance to say goodby so I will do it here with the lyrics of one of my favorite Elvis Spirituals. " Soon we'll come to end of life's Journey and perhaps never meet anymore. Till we gather at Heaven's Bright City - far away on that Beautiful Shore.
If we never meet again this side of Heaven, as we struggle through this world and it's strife. If we never meet again this side of Heaven, I'll meet you on that Beautiful shore. My dear cousin Peter, you lived an admirable life! "Well done, thou good and faithful servant". Much love, Cousin Marnie

peter sweeney was some kind of guy -- one of a kind - tho we shared the same birthday month we did not talk about age - just a number I would say - he was one of the best kind of people and good to my sister pat, his wife of many years
