Peter Velarde

Dear Miriam and family, my prayers to you in remembering your loved one.

Back in the early 1980s I saw Mr. Velarde regularly when I visited his son Pete, then and now a good friend of mine. Mr. Velarde always made me feel welcome. His smile was warm, his manner was gentle, and his laughter was infectious. What a wonderful family. I always loved being there. My thoughts are with all of you at this time.

I knew Pete for many years starting in 1980. He was a very genuine person and a good friend. He had a unique sense of humor, was very witty and a man of great faith. We still miss him at Bechtel so many years after he retired. Pete cared deeply for his wife and sons and I hope that they may somehow find comfort.

We will miss Peter very much
