To the family, many, many friends, and fans of this great person who played and loved the game of football Mr. Pettis Norman. Mr. Pettis Norman was an tight end for the Dallas and San Diego Charger. May you find comfort in your wealth of fond memories together with Mr. Pettis Norman. May the love and many, many special memories you shared with your devoted loved one show how much your life was touched by him. May the God of comfort bless your grieving hearts with strength, loving kindness and peace as the world copes with the loss of Mr. Pettis Norman. We will never forget his many tremendous goals and accomplishments.

I remember his civil rights advocacy during his time with the Cowboys. He was strong, courageous and honest. I wish he´d considered running for office, he was remarkably intelligent and charismatic, not to mention positive and upbeat. I thank him for his service which was done while he was playing for the Cowboys. RIP Pettis.
