Our Heartfelt Sympathy to your family. My Father Lee Currlin (B&B, CBS, NBC.) and Phil were Great Friends. I Miss The Days of His Visits to Our Home and Learning how to make the best Lasagna - the secret: hard boiled egg slices layered in. (You Know.) He Took Me to See "The Fantasticks" in The Village on a Solo Trip to Manhattan when I was 8 y.o.! I find comfort in Knowing Phil and my Dad are reunited again.
Peace and Love, Kip Currlin

I had the privilege to work with Phil on Eight is Enough. In fact, he gave me and my partner our first script. He was tough but fair as an executive producer and guided the show with a steady hand. I wish I could have worked with him again. He had great taste and an incomparable sense of what the public wanted to see on television. I'll always be grateful to Phil for helping launch my career... I was very fortunate to have worked with Phil at Lorimar in the 70's. He couldn't have been more gracious to the casting department - the late Barbara Miller, Irene Mariano and me.
Placing all of his accolades and talents aside, he was just a great guy from Jersey - and teased me about 'coming from the shore'.
My sincerest condolences are with all of Phil's family and friends
