Rose Mary Battas

Rose Mary Battas, 53, of Red Bud, Ill., born Aug. 11, 1962, in Louisiana, died Dec. 12, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., on Dec. 15, and from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m., on Dec. 16, at Koch-Liefer Funeral Home in Red Bud, Ill., with Rev. Lisa Hart officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
She was the daughter of Edward and Mildred, nee Siemer, Scherder, who preceded her in death. She married Randy Battas on April 20, 2002, and he survives in Red Bud.
Rose was an administrative assistant for the Belleville Boot Co. in Belleville, Ill.
Surviving besides her husband are: her children, Cassondra (Ryan) Cantrell, of Red Bud, Ill.; Danielle (Marshall) Schellhardt, of Tulsa, Okla.; Scott (Cathy) Battas, of Mascoutah, Ill.; Dustin (Ashley) Battas, of Edwardsville, Ill.; and Amy (Travis) Brown, of Louisville, Ky.; her siblings, Terry (Colleen) Scherder, Dan (Marnie) Scherder, John (Sandy) Scherder, Mary (Gary) Oberman, and Joe (Julie) Scherder; her grandchildren, Caiden, Jocelynn, Weston, Benjamin, Jacob, Brynn, Beau, Beckett and Mesa.
She was an aunt, cousin and friend. Memorials may be made to the family.
