My deepest condolences to Kathy and the family. Phil was a true professional and a great leader in ASCET. He will be missed by all who came in contact with him.

Phil always cared about good Fire Protection and the importance of design. I new new Phil and worked with him or various projects for over 45 years and he consistently worked for our industry in every chance he got. God Bless Phil and his family.

We met Phil years ago through ASCET. What a wonderful man. We always enjoyed visiting with Phil and Kathy while on our meetings/trips for ASCET and NICET. We will treasure those memories. Please accept our deepest sympathies.

Phil brought me into the American Society of Certified Engineering Technicians (ASCET) as a Chapter President and later appointed me to Regional Vice President. With his mentorship and my duties in the Society, I grew and became a better person for it. I am not alone, and as a collective, Phil's vision lives on. It is the responsibility of those he gathered to come together and move forward, but never forgetting who put us on this path. My condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.

I am deeply saddened by Phil's death. I am so sorry for the great loss to his entire family and to the sprinkler community. His devotion to the sprinkler industry and his ethics are something to be proud of and greatly admired. I will miss him.

Phil was a true gentleman, dedicated to his craft and furthering the interests of fire protection. I'll always remember his warm smile and contagious laugh. Wishing the family peace and blessings.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and close friends at this time of great loss. I met Phil through ASCET and he became a friend that I enjoyed speaking with about technical issues as well as life in general. His positive attitude, kindness and professionalism were an inspiration to me. Phil was willing to share his knowledge and enthusiasm for our industry with anyone and he was a joy to be around. He worked tirelessly to promote ASCET and proper fire protection. Phil was a friend when I lost my father and he paid me one of the greatest compliments that I ever received when he bid me farewell as I departed for the Middle East earlier this year. I will never forget and will sincerely miss his company, advice and sense of humor. Best Wishes my dear friend.

What a wonderful Man! Being in my teens and being with his children, he was always the "cool dad." I love this picture, because I will always remember him with a smile, good humored and a welcoming personality. I feel lucky to have known him. My thoughts and prayers to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will surely be missed. "Mash"

He will be missed greatly here. He has impacted many professionals within the engineering technician and technology areas. I am personally grateful for his leadership and support through out my time with ASCET.

Phil served as a mentor to many of us in the Alarm community, regardless of our respective disciplines. His kindness, support, and wisdom will be missed.

To the Gaughan family - I am truly sorry for your loss. I have known Phil for many years through our professional relationship in ASCET. Phil will always be in my memory as a person who truly cared about family, his profession and ASCET.

As the Fire marshal I used Phil to review sprinkler plains before I issued the permit. He would accompany me on the site inspection. He was invauklable to me..God Bless him. Jesse Hayden FM

Phil,you were not only a close friend but also a father figure to me. I will miss you deeply, especially when Kathy n I play name that tune, and you gave your only answer to frank Sinatra. God bless and now you are at peace. You will always be in my heart beside my dad.
