And relationships drift apart,

Hi Dennis
Thank-you for your kind words and memories of Phil. Apologies for not being able to place a face to your name but we undoubtedly met on numerous occasions. Tony and I spent a lot of time at the Newman Chapel. With Frs. Pat, Bill and Phil, we have many fond memories of the Peel House(and let's not forget Zach, of course).

Karen..You may not remember me but I lived with Phil and Pat Traynor on Peel St at their Paulist Fathers residence in the 1970s..They were absolutely great to me ( I wasnt a Paulist but just a young kid doing some work around the Newman Centre and hanging out..and they helped me out even though I had no good reason for being there.,,not a seminarian. ...I talked to Phil a few months ago....He was such a good guy and a great priest with a great sense of humor.. I will really miss him.. Dennis Dolce

My late husband Johnny and I were good friends of Phil Sr. at St Aloysius and in Rawdon where we enjoyed Fr. Phil as a young teacher and priest. My daughter and I were sad to hear about the loss of your brother. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow. Sincerely, Mary Beale

To Fr. Hart's family:

Please accept my deepest condolences at your loss and be assured of my prayers for him and the family. I made Fr. Hart's acquaintance when he was serving in a parish north of Montreal. He was a good friend of some mutual friends, Carlo and Nicki Davirro. They are in the south of France at the moment, and I informed them, so they will probably pass along a note. Once again, deepest sympathy. RIP, Fr. Hart.

Dear Hart Family
Our sympathy to you on the loss of Father Phil, we remember him as a young parishioner living in St. Aloysius Parish and with your dad Phil who was so active in the parish with my dad Charles Meehan.
We will keep him in our prayers and I will have it announced on Sunday at Mass as a former parishioner of St. Al's, which still exists.
God bless, he is at peace in heaven with your dad and mom.

I remember working with Fr. Hart during the Advent season of 2003 in preparing some Advent talks. I also remember Fr. Phil during morning masses and his homilies at this time. Fr. Phil was always kind and welcoming and had an attractive honesty in his homilies. In short, he was a good man and a good priest. May he rest in God's Peace!
