I always enjoyed Philip Moos' DEAF TIMES articles. He was a brilliant man and he shared thoughts with me on a few of the articles that were of interest to my profession. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends but not forgotten. May God rest his soul.

Kristina & Holly, what a wonderful man your Dad, in his last letter to me he noted all he wanted was to be with his Daughter. I have many fond memories and pictures of your Dad. May God hold you both in his hands and comfort you, today and always, knowing what a kind, gentle man your father was to all that he touched.

Hi Kristina & Holly,
My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. Everyone will miss your dad/brother so much. He certainly was so helpful to the deaf communities and always enjoy reading his NJ-L and USA-L news every single day which he had established it. I always enjoyed meeting him everywhere we met one another at any deaf affairs, deaf expos and workshops. My deepest condolence and sympathy to both of you. Take care.

I admire Phil for his guts to do many, many, many things for our Deaf community. He was always an informative Beacon of Light and Updated Information for all of us.........he could have stayed home but he CHOSE to help us everyday with the NJ-L News and then the Deaf Times website and the email news and I always saw him at almost EVERY major Deaf event in New Jersey. He had the energy, drive, eternal selfless motivation to help all of us and to help clarify many confusing things for us so that we could understand what was going on in our Deaf Education programs in New Jersey. He also spent valuable time with SOS and made it a much more Deaf-Friendly place along with our wonderful Steve Shevlin, who is the Director of SOS. Phil and I rammed heads once over 15 years ago in one NJAD-SOS meeting but since then, we have had a beautiful friendship and a respectful peace with each other. His brain was very quick, sharp, incisive, very clear, and always always always willing to clear up many things for us and to advocate for our Deaf rights in any area of our lives. I hope many of us do many things here to remember him and his countless contributions to our Deaf society. I'm even touched that he included me in the last email of his life, it was a beautiful one, mostly focused on his daughter Kristina, who he loved intensely as a good father to his adult daughter. I am glad I was able to return the same respect to him in a supportive email 2 weeks before he left all of us, I hope he read it because I wanted him to know how proud we all are of him. I am thankful I have met him and worked with him and learned many things from him at all of our public events. He always was kind and advisory with me in the last 12 or so years and he truly cared about all of us and our rights. Martha J. Coulter, Psy.S., Seaville New Jersey

I wish you well Christina. I know he aways thought of you.
He was one of the nices persons I ever met. Also being a gentleman and thinking of your feelings and making you feel good.
I met him over 10 years ago and became good friends being there when we needed someone either to talk to or advice.
Best Wishes to you and hope you know how wonderful a father he was
