Dear family:
I am 96 years of age and I have known the Tope family for many years. We go back to the time that my father was buying citrus from Tom (Phil's father)Tope who was managing the Blue Goose citrus packing house in Maitland on the railroad tacks.
Our firm, Herman J. Heidrich & Sons, became the largest fresh citrus packing house in the State.
Phil worked for us managing the harvesting of fresh citrus for our packing house.
Our condolences to Phil's family!

I met Phil and Kimberly when they moved into our neighborhood in Wesley Chapel Florida. Phil was an easy man to talk with. We had many conversations. When the topic was family you could tell he was very proud of all of his kids and grandkids. And especially his wife Kimberly.
Last month he gave me a bottle of Wiser's. I will think of him every I have a sip for the rest of my life.
I will miss him.

I am so sorry to hear the lost of Mr. Phil.
I worked for him a short time then I got sick and have to leave. But Phil went out of his way to help me to find the doctor and treatment.
He is the most wonderful man and I am so lucky to know him.
Keep you and your family in my prayer.

Dear Kimberly - our condolences for you and the family. Phil looked out for me as I arrived in Florida Citrus 10 years ago. He taught me the ins and outs patiently and often demonstrated passionately how to defend the industry. Remember the time Phil and I were talking on Bluetooth while driving - I thought he called me a bad name! but it was just a bad connection and we all laughed at the mistake.
This note is not enough to honor Phil nor express our sympathies - but know that I will live a better life because of Phil - and I hope the memories you shared with Phil will one day bring smiles back to your face. With our deepest sympathies
