You were a good brother, Phil. We made a good team; from you driving me to work each day to me finding you pacing next to the Corvair with its engine sitting on the road.

The people at Ceasar's Inn said you were the man with a big heart. You befriended a woman on the bus who was about to lose her house. You gave her the money she needed so she and her son could keep living there. You paid a women $5 to $10 each time she did your small bundle of laundry when you could no longer go down the stairs. In your late life, you didn't spend money on yourself. You wanted to make sure you left an inheritance for each of your seven brothers and sisters. You kept lifelong friends.

I will miss our long talks on the phone each day since dad died. I know you are happier in heaven playing sheepshead with dad, grandpa, Uncle John and Jimmy.

Love you forever, Your sister, Mary Jo

We have a large, extended family. One that shares a lot of love amongst eachother, but unfortunately life gets in the way of allowing the time to share that love in person. While some family members live across the country, others live across the state or even across the city. These days, even a phone call can be more difficult than we ever would have thought to make.
When I first got my drivers license, I drove my Uncle Phil home from a family gathering. We didn´t say much on the way- quiet small talk, landmarks of town, that kind of stuff.
Then, "Pull over up ahead, here is fine", he said.

I didn´t know if my driving was terrible or if we were just at the best spot for home.

As he closed the door, my uncle said, "You´re a good kid, Paul. Be safe getting home."
Well Uncle Phil- YOU were good too. YOU get there safe. And, when it´s my time to go, YOU drive.
To the family- we all have at least one memory, that makes up for any lost visits or calls. It´s those that make us family and keep us together.

I will always remember our childhood years were always spent with my family and Phil´s family being together and the great times we all had growing up together as cousins. More recently, I enjoyed talking and sharing memories with Phil when I was in California for his Dad´s funeral. Phil was a very caring person. My deepest sympathy to each of his brothers and sisters, Phil will be missed but hopefully he is enjoying time with his parents and his cousins, Jim and Judy!

Phil, you left us too soon but I truly believe you are now with Mom and Dad. I hope you are filling Dad in on all the latest Packer news. Love you Brother. RIP

One of the only times I met Uncle Phil we sat across from each other and I listened as he told me about all the cars he had growing up, and what was on his wishlist. He asked me about my favorite automobiles too. He was one cool cat.

Phil, I will miss our talks and debates about best teams, best wrestlers and best cars. I´ll never forget driving in your big cars back in the day. Thanks for all the memories. Rest in Peace, brother.
