Dearest Phillip, Barry and I were so happy to reconnect with you when we ran into you at the Hilton and then saw you out a few times out at the Rock 'N' Bowl. We were so sad to hear the news of your illness at our Haynes Junior High reunion in October, but we were happy that we got to spend some time with you. Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. May you find rest and peace now. My deepest sympathies to your family.

Jen (my wife) & I met Phillip at Mr. Ed's working there together many years ago. We soon became close friends. We played Spades at our apartment every Tuesday night and Phillip even stood in our wedding. His laugh was contagious and he was always a joy to be around. He will be missed! Rest in peace my friend, until we meet again, John Morris

Greg and I had the pleasure of meeting Phillip many, many years ago at Mr. Ed´s on Live Oak. Phillip was such a loving person who made us both feel as we had known him for years. His laughter and tboughtfulness was so endearing. We pray for your family and know Our Lord is holding you in the palms of HIS LOVING HANDS. Rest in peace dear Philip. You will be sadly missed by so many people. Greg and Cheryl Gilchrist

I had the pleasure of working with Phillip at Spirits bar in the Hilton. He was one of the best coworkers and such a sweet friend. I have enjoyed watching his travels on Facebook and forever grateful that we got to spend some of the time of our lives together. Sending love and hugs to family and friends, he will be missed so much.

I met Phillip when my gf and I were in NOLA in 2008 for a Saints game, but we also wanted to watch the LSU game somewhere that Saturday afternoon. I recalled seeing that the bar at the Hilton Riverside had TV´s all around the bar when I was there for a conference a couple of years earlier, so that´s where we went and were very lucky to have gotten bar stools in Phillip´s section. We became fast friends, and over the last decade and a half, we managed to spend a lot of time together, fishing, boating and festival hopping whenever we were down there. Even got him to come to Natchez one weekend for an event. That smile, that infectious laugh and the genuine nature of his being, were all what made loving Phillip such an effortless task. You just knew he truly love you...and he love all his many friends with the same depth and tenacity. He will be missed by us and by anyone who ever had the privilege of calling him friend! God speed good man...May the heaven you enter be filled with white sandy beaches and the waters abundant with fish to fill your buckets. Know you are loved always!

Philip was a great guy and my wife and I got to know him over the years when we traveled from Lafayette to New Orleans for my business or a pleasure trip! We always booked the Hilton Riverside because of Philip! We loved getting in and going straight to the bar to see if he was working. He was such a pleasure to know and we mourn his loss. May he rest in peace

I will always remember and I´ll never forget how much we cut up at Daiquiris and creams and all the home haircuts at your home. Your infectious laugh and loving heart will be forever missed. Rest easy my friend! Sending lots of love to your loving family. This I know you loved your nieces, sister, and momma. You put your girls on a pedestal. You had a genuine heart. One that don´t come around to often. RIP my Friend. You will be so missed and loved!
