Phylis CROOKSHANKS

CROOKSHANKS, Phylis - Age 70, of Gaines, died Sunday, June 28, 2009 at her home. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Phylis was born in West Virginia on February 24, 1939, the daughter of Henry and Beulah (Young) McCormick and lived in the Gaines area most of her life. She married Bobby Crookshanks Sr. on July 5, 1957 and he preceded her in death in 1985. Mrs. Crookshanks was a loving and caring person who enjoyed her family - especially her awesome grandchildren. Surviving are children, Cindy (Phil) Barnett of Gaines, Bobby "Gene" Crookshanks Jr. of Gaines; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer, Phil Jr., Jessica and Brandon; great-grandchildren, Damian and Devlin; brothers: Henry McCormick Jr., Lacy (Lynda) McCormick; sisters, Joan (Ronald) McClung, Patsy (Robert) McClung, Linda (Bob) Birchtold; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her mother and father; brothers, Jack McCormick, Bernard McCormick; and sister, June Blose.
