So very sorry to learn of Phyllis's passing. As a young boy in the fifties, I remember watching her on Superman and felt that she was very special. My only regret is I was never able to meet her and tell her how much I enjoyed watching her. She was an awesome woman....Rest in Peace, Phyllis.

I got to know Phyllis later in her life. Her Lois Lane was an epic role and her body of work is book worthy. I am committed to doing it.

The world has lost a lovely lady. I always thought she was one of Hollywoods great beauties. I wish I could have known her. My condolences to her family and may she be RIP. We loved you Phyllis.

My condolences to family members. I first met Phyllis when she came into my office with Dean Witter Reynolds. She had this unmistakable voice I´d heard all my life and I just couldn´t recall where until she told me her background as Lois Lane. We became great friends, going to lunch and talked frequently as she had wonderful stories of Hollywood. I once convinced her to do a two person play called "Love Letters" with Alan Young of the "Mr. Ed" tv series at the Wharf Theater. She moved away from Monterey, CA to live near her daughter. She´ll be missed by all those who came in contact with her. She was truly an amazing woman.

My Condolences to the family of this talent lady, loved her work on many movies but like many Superman stands out. I was too young for the actual series but the reruns are still around. RIP to her family during these difficult moments

I was born in 1960, a year after the series ended. Growing up Asa little boy I was fascinated with Superman. ALL my toys were Superman related. Growing up into adulthood I was always magnetize to the Mole Men episode, and just loved the portrayal of Lois Lane by Phyllis Coates. She was so beautiful and had the most unique voice. I'm 63 and although I never had the opportunity to meet her, she will forever be the best Lois Lane. Rest in peace beautiful lady.

What I like about her as an actress was she refused to play stereotypical rules of women. Lois could have just played the ditzy save me Superman role but she took the role of Lois and made her a strong feminist who helped Superman on many occasions!
