Phyllis B. Giovannelli nee Rudnicki, age 80; beloved wife of Raymond; loving mother of Laura Giovannelli (Gerald) Kloberdanz, Scott (Mary) Giovannelli, and Shelley (Rich) Fallon; dearest grandmother of Tony (Maddie), Joey (Melinda), Michael, Dominick, Alisa, Joe, Max and Macy; great grandmother of Liam and Luca; cherished sister of Constance (Dennis) Grube; dear aunt and great aunt of many; fond sister-in-law of Charles (Judy) Giovannelli. Visitation Friday January 27, 2023 from 4 PM until 8 PM at the Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, 7812 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles. Funeral Service Saturday 9 AM to St. John Brebeuf Church for 10 AM Mass. Interment Maryhill Cemetery. She was a member of Niles Sister Cities Organization. Memorials to Wingsprogram will be appreciated. Funeral info: 847-966-7302

What a kind friend Phyllis was, both in Niles and Houston. I was so happy to have had some friends here, and as soon as we found each other they had to move on. I'm just so broken hearted for Ray, who I had met as a young teen in Niles, and for your entire family. God rest you sweet Phyllis.

I am so sorry to hear that Phyllis has passed. I went to order one of Raymond's books for my son who is in law enforcement and I saw the sad news. I worked with her at Grainger for many years in the next office. It was always such a bright spot in my day to have our conversations and to hear her laughter. We had the pleasure of going to the sales events with Phyllis and Raymond because we usually selected the Tony Bennett concert too. We were able to sit together and have dinner after the show. They were great people and always fun to be with. I learned a lot from Phyllis and her wisdom as a mother, which actually ended up helping me when I had my own family. She was a kind, smart person with values and integrity. I spoke to her a couple of times over the years, but I am sorry we didn't keep in touch more. My deepest sympathy to Raymond and the family for your loss. Please hold on to the wonderful life you shared with her and all the memories. She was very happy and proud of all of you.
