Phyllis C. Morris passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on August 2, 2025. Mrs.Phyl, as many would call her was loved beyond measure and will truly be missed. She is preceded in death by Mother Annabelle Defurr and Father Robert Defurr; Sisters Ernestine Smith, Rosetta Defurr, and Roberta Garrett; Brother Richard Defurr, Grandson Daniel Grimes. Phyllis C. Morris left behind to cherish her memory; Sister Patricia Black; Brother Charles Defurr; Daughters Phyllis Defurr, Octavia(Dennis) Buford; Son Carlos(Tonia) Combs; Grandchildren Monique Lucas, Anthony Brown, Courtney Buford, Ashley(Narada) Sloan She'Toria Combs, Lekesia(Roger) Clay, Justin Combs, Dashaun Defurr, Cherise(Mark) Grimes-Moon, Jessica(Duane) Combs, Trinity Buford, and Sincere Buford. Her faithful companion DWayne'Tony' Miller. Many other great grandchildren, relatives, and friends that she loved dearly.

The family will announce a Memorial Celebration at a later date. We want to express our appreciation to Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care for taking care of our beloved Phyllis Morris. In her final act, Mrs. Phyllis donated her body to Boonshoft School of Medicine.
