Phyllis S. Pearson

I remember Mrs Pearson with such affection. She led the Future Nurses Club at Mount Vernon High School back in the 60s and invited us all to come for swimming and a picnic at the end of each year. She was kind and wonderful and I have such respect for her.

Was saddened to know of Phyllis passing. Was thinking of her the other evening when playing the piano....
I have so many fond memories of being at their place in Mt Vernon, the swims in their pool, followed by a pot luck...for years between the 4th of July and Convention, all the friends gathered there, now so many have gone now. Her welcome to Nina and her support for her. Phyllis played for many many gospel meeting, using the piano at the Summit Park grange, so out of tune that she had to rewrite the cords to play in tune. We have truly lost a mother of Israel in her. A woman who loved many and was love by many. The years really pass so quickly!!!
Keep your memories, she was a very special person.

The fun and fellowship in your family home on Sunset Lane in Mount Vernon as well as Phyllis's gentleness and care for us as young people is a cherished memory of a whole generation. Nice to think she has gone to her reward even though she will be missed.Loving thoughts are with you all.

Dear John, Gayle, Ted, Barb and families...
Our thoughts go your way these days. Your folks were both so very dear to us, especially in our college years in Bellingham. Your mom was a real encouragement to me and I used her experience and love to help me so many times during those years. Her gentle attitude and love for God was like a fruitful bough that went up over the wall reaching out and feeding others as well as her own. Thank you for the years of sharing...

We have very special memories of Phyllis. When we moved to Lewis County Alvin was already gone but we met with Phyllis on Sunday and she welcomed us with open arms. Our prayers and sympathy are going your way, John and Gayle; and Ted and Barb and your families. Wonderful to think of the reward Phylliis will have to enjoy.

Reading the notes that have been forwarded to us since Phyllis's death has brought back many wonderful memories. I can still right now see her expressions in my mind. Glad for her faithfulness and our family times together as I was growing up. We are thinking of you as you are remembering also. Ray and Bertha Brown

What a beautiful thing to know she died in the Lord and to know the welcome that waits for her in heaven. We're thankful for her faithful life and the lives of her family as well.

Mrs Pearson was my school nurse. She was very kind to all of us kids. My sympathy to her family.

What a kind and caring woman Mrs. Pearson was. I will always remember her nursing my scrapes. I truly believe us kids faked our illnesses just so we could visit the school nurse! Mrs. Pearson will be missed! My sympathy and condolences to her family.
