Phyllis J. Stude Mrs. Phyllis J. Stude, 81, of Round Rock, formerly of Trafford, Pennsylvania, died on December 22, 2006. Mrs. Stude was born on June 22, 1925 in Kinsley, Kansas to Harold and Esther Somerville Eslinger. She married John V. Stude on June 7, 1944. They made their home in Pennsylvania until 1976 when they moved to Round Rock. Phyllis was a member of First United Methodist Church, Georgetown where she was active with the adult choir. She was also a member of the singing group Sweet Adelines and volunteered at the Weslyan Nursing Center. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Stude of Round Rock; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Jean and Jimmie Lee Gartung of Fresno, CA and Joyce and Bobby Rogers of Round Rock; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Shirley Eslinger of Baton Rouge, LA. She is preceded in death by a son, David Stude. Services will be at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, December 29 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, Pflugerville with Rev. J. Eric McKinney, Sr. Pastor, First United Methodist Church, Georgetown, officiating. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery. The family will receive guests at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Choir Fund, First United Methodist Church, 410 E. Univ., Georgetown, TX 7862
