Phyllis E. Trosper, 86, Elkhart, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Mon., March 4, 2013 and she is dancing and singing in His presence. She was born Sept. 18, 1926 in Hornell, New York to Benjamin & Mabel (Demery) Bowers. She married Floyd Trosper on June 30, 1990. Surviving are her husband, daughters, Andrea (Steve) Reich, Bristol, Tammie Blevins, Union, Mich. step-daughters, Shirley Ann Pease, Milford, Vicky (Robert) Queen, Fort Wayne, step-son, Floyd (Karen) Trosper, Jr., Elkhart, sisters, Delores Sheon, Hornell, New York, Helena Barr, Elmira, New York, Evelyn Lucas, Durant, Miss., grandchildren, Stephanie Strout, Avon, Robert Reich, Mishawaka, Vincent & Ryan Cline, both of Elkhart, 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are a son, Mike Purdy, Step-daughter, Sandra Grise and brothers, Arthur & Howard Bowers. Phyllis worked at Acousticom Corp., Elkhart where she was a floor supervisor. She attended Sugar Grove Church and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved family get-togethers and roller skating which she did until turning 60. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thurs. Mar. 7, 2013 at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen, where the service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Mar. 8, 2013. Pastor Rick Gering will officiate and burial will be in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart. Memorials may be directed to the St. Jude Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
