Pietro Maglio Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 14, 2022.
Italian born Pietro (Nonno) Maglio, resident of Garden City, NY, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2022 at the age of 84 years old.

Pietro Maglio was born in Grotollela, Italy in 1938. Having been from the same small village and knowing each other their whole lives, it was in 1958 that he married the love of his life, Anna Maglio. His business took him to Milan, Germany, and then Switzerland before moving with his family to the United States of America in 1972. Pietro was a bocce ball player aficionado, enjoying nothing more than an afternoon spent playing with his kids and grandkids with his beloved dog Coco by his side. Pietro's strong family values have lovingly been passed down to his children, grand-children, great-grandchildren, and undoubtedly generations to come.

Pietro leaves behind his wife, Anna (Nonna) Maglio (nee Luongo); his children, Michelina [Mario] Capetola, Joseph [Darlene] Maglio, Rossella [Angelo] Vita, Isabella [Robert] Iccari; his grandchildren, Rocco [Argyroula] Maglio, Marco [Brittany] Capetola, Nicolas [Rachel] Capetola, Shana Maglio, Demetrio Vita, Anna Capetola, Angelamarie Iccari, Brianna Maglio, Alessio Iccari, Jessica Vita; his great-grandchildren, Iliana Maglio, George Maglio, Mia Capetola; his siblings, Nastina Maglio, Rosa Maglio, Pierina Maglio, Guglielmo Maglio. Pietro is predeceased by his parents Giuseppe and Giuseppina Maglio; his brother Antonio Maglio; his adored dog, 'Coco'.
