Pietro "Pete" Piccirilli, age 70, of Coraopolis, peacefully departed this world, on Friday, April 16, 2004, at Shadyside Hospital, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 25, 1933 in Pacentro, Italy, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Elisa Silvestri Piccirilli. Mr. Piccirilli founded and owned Piccirilli Disposal until his retirement and was a member of St. Joseph Church, Coraopolis; beloved husband of Mary Pompeo Piccirilli for 46 years; loving father of Elisa Pengidore and her husband Tony, of Beaver, Donna Sidney and her husband Joel, of Economy Boro, Joseph Piccirilli and his wife Nicole, of Moon Twp. and Rosanna Teramana and her husband Nick, of Moon Twp.; brother of Rosanna D'Allesandro, of Pacentro, Italy, Lucia Garaofolo, of Pescara, Italy and Gaetano, Tony and Umberto Piccirilli, all of Michigan; proud grandfather who took great joy from his much adored grandchildren, Francesca Pengidore, of Beaver, James Getchell, of Economy Boro and Peter, Sophia and Joseph Piccirilli, all of Moon Twp. Family and friends will be received on Sun. & Mon. 2-4 & 7-9pm in the ANTHONY J. SANVITO, INC., FUNERAL HOME. 1316 4th Ave., Coraopolis, family owned and operated since 1936. A Service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 9am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Joseph Church, Coraopolis, where the Pastor Father Michael Caridi will officiate. Interment will be held immediately following the Mass in Resurrection Cemetery, Moon Twp.
