Piney POLLOCK Obituary
January 3, 1924 - March 1, 2015
It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Dr. Piney Pollock. He is predeceased by his mother and father, Sarah and Jack Pollock, his sister Geety Waiser Freedman and brother-in-law Eddie Freedman and his first wife Florrie Adelson. He is survived by his loving children Josie and Lonnie Berger, Lorne Pollock and Bruce Pollock and adoring grandchildren Jordan, Nina and Hayden, all of Los Angeles, his sister Libi, wife of the late Dr. Ronald Cape, of San Francisco and his wife Sandy, Montreal. Piney was a very special and much loved uncle to Dr. David and Joni Waiser, Yanda and Mark Max, Dr. Howard and Marlene Waiser, Dr. Jackie Cape and Julie Haddix as well as his great and great-great nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by so many family members and friends and will always be remembered by everyone who came in contact with the doctor with the sweet disposition, kind heart, big smile and ease of laughter and who always took the time to listen to his patients. His children would like to express their sincere appreciation to Cindy, Anna, Pon, Samia, Diana, Penny, Katherine, Brenda, Heather, Mikayla and the wonderful staff and volunteers of Hillel Lodge for their kindness, care and compassion. Funeral will be held at the Cwinn Chapel at the Jewish Memorial Gardens, 6549 Herberts Corners Road in Greely, on Wednesday March 4, at 2 p.m. Piney's children will observe shiva at 1-425 Hamilton Avenue South on Wednesday evening, Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Friday afternoon from 1-3 p.m. Evening Services will be at 7:30 p.m. For those wanting to honour his memory, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hillel Lodge www.hillel-ltc.com (613 728 3900) or a charity of your choice.

I just read of Dr Pollock's passing and wish to offer my sincere (belated) condolences to his children and extended family. I worked for Piney for 5 years between the late 1960's and early 1970's in his McLeod St. office. He was a caring physician and a truly wonderful man.

Dr Pollack was my neighbour for almost 40 years . He was a kind,intelligent , curious gentleman who always took an interest in my family and was very well loved in our community My deepest condolences to his family

So sorry to hear of Dr. Pollock's passing. I worked with him for many years at the Heart Institute. He always had a smile of his face and a few minutes to chat.
