Polly Anna Bartlett, age 89, of Russellville, died Monday, March 8, 2010 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born to Bunk and Rhea Robertson on May 4, 1920, in Centerville, Arkansas. Polly graduated from Ola High School in 1936, attended Arkansas Tech University and graduated from Draughon's School of Business. She worked for the County and District County Agent and Home Demonstration Agents and the Forestry Service before joining Western Arkansas Telephone Company (which became Continental Telephone Company and is now CenturyLink), where she retired as an Executive Secretary. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Russellville since 1938, and a member of Arkansas Tech Dames Club since 1949. She was inducted into ATU's Hall of Distinction in 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, June Robertson White. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Heartsill R. Bartlett; a brother, Dr. Charles Robertson and his wife, Marie, of Russellville and their children, Joy and Vernie Fountain of Springfield, Missouri and Charley and Debbie Robertson of Little Rock; June's children, Jim and Mechele White of Rogers, Bill and Melinda White of St. Louis, Missouri, and Bob White of Fayetteville; a sister-in-law, Marion Bartlett of Russellville, and her children, David and Nancy Bartlett of Little Rock, Dr. Kent and Jean Bartlett of Russellville and Nancy and Dr. Mark St. Pierre of Little Rock; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Jeanice Falls, Jackie Neal and Jackie Gardner, all of Russellville; the surviving members of her bridge club; Mrs. Rose Maxwell and her care givers and the physicians of Milliard-Henry Clinic. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 P.M. on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the Central Presbyterian Church, officiated by the Rev. Dave Schneider and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall. Burial will be private in Oakland Cemetery at Russellville. Memorials may be made to Central Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 400 West Main Street, Russellville, Arkansas 72801.
