Preston Angelo Obituary
GREENSBORO — Preston Matthew Angelo, 15, of Greensboro, N.C., was called into Heaven suddenly to be with God Saturday, June 16, 2007.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 23, at Sedgefield Presbyterian Church.
Preston was born March 18, 1992, in Buffalo, N.Y., and recently completed his freshman year at Southern Guilford High School. He was a member of Sedgefield Presbyterian, and was actively involved with the youth group there. He was also a member of the Ragsdale YMCA, where he could be frequently found honing his skills for many hours on the basketball court, or volunteering to help out as needed. Preston loved life, sports, adventure, and the Lord's great creations. A friend to all that he met, he will be fondly remembered and deeply missed always by those fortunate enough to have been touched by his bright smile and amazing personality during his much too short stay with us.
Preston is most lovingly survived and cherished by his father, Paul Angelo; and his twin sister, Cassandra Angelo, both of Greensboro, N.C. Belovedly remembered also by his grandmother, Pauline Angelo; great-grandmother, Dorothy Rakocki; uncle and aunt, Paul and Jamie Johnson (Godparents); uncle and aunt, Mark and Celeste Angelo; and cousins, Lauren, Corey, Alex and Ben, all of Buffalo, N.Y.; by his aunt and uncle, Gretchen Angelo and Ben Crowell; and cousins, Helen and Irene, of Fullerton, Calif.; by his relatives the Hurley family in Ontario, Canada; by his uncle and aunt, Mike and Shelley Olebar of Seattle, Wash.; and by his many friends from school, church and community.
A reception will follow the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to Sedgefield Presbyterian Church, 4216 Wayne Road, Greensboro, NC 27407.

I remember you from way back. I am sitting here with my year book looking at your 5th grade picture, from mr. jewell's class. I am a year younger than you but i remember you alot. i remember you use to ride my bus, you & Cassandra, and i remember the ACES time that was spent. My condolences to the family. I just so happened to be watching tv this evening when i saw the announcement of this tragedy on crimestoppers. The name sounded familiar and then I realized where I had heard it before--I used to be one of the teachers at the daycare Preston and Cassandra went to during the summer when they were in elementary school. I was their teacher and to this day I remember how spirited Preston was. He was a handful, but I can look back on the brief time I knew him and smile.

No words can begin to explain this feeling of losing him. Death has yet to be understood and its not easy to deal with. Preston is forever in my heart and always on my mind. Mr Angelo and Cassandra are in my thoughts and prayers and hope they know there are many people who will help them through this time.
