We met at the alter. Literally! I was in the 4th grade and he was in the 5th. We were kneeling to receive communion. I was on the front kneelers and he was on the side. I noticed this freckled face boy with this mop of reddish brown hair making a silly face at me. He was trying to make me laugh, and he almost succeed until the priest appeared to administer me communion. It was love at first sight. (tee hee). He was my first boyfriend, grades 4-6. He was the first boy I ever kissed. It was a pretty sloppy, wet kiss as I recall (sorry Pres) but he did improve over time. We went our separate ways in junior high, but rekindled our friendship in high school. He had a serious girlfriend back then, but would still slip me these notes folded almost origami style. Somehow he also knew my class schedule, because he was constantly in the hall (go figure), peering in my class window, trying to make me laugh. That is what I will remember most about him. H always made you laugh! I will always cherish the friendship we had. I am grateful he was part of my growing up years. That St. Bridget gang had some strong ties. May you rest in peace, you freckled face boy. Until we meet again!

Preston was one of the first guys I met when I joined the 310 Laborers Friday night softball team and for the next 13 years I knew I had a great friend in "The Beast"! I had a great time playing ball with him and always loved to make the 310 Retirees Golf Signs!! Really gonna miss the guy and I hope he keeps an eye on us from up above. God Bless Your Family, Rest In Peace Brother, Your Friend Tony Tomecko
