Price Rushing Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 26, 2024.
Crowley - Price Warren Rushing passed away at the age of 52, on July 24, 2024 after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was born March 17, 1972 in Henretta, TX. He loved God, his family and many, many friends. His drive in life became "his" girls, Jennifer, Mikayla and Jillian. Price was so proud to watch his daughters growth and continual maturing every day. The thing that made him laugh the most was watching his daughters and wife with their quick-witted comebacks to each other during family talks. Price was a man that never wanted to live to work but work to live. He found joy in multiple hobbies throughout the years. About every two years being a new hobby. From smoking meat, cigars, brewing beer, camping, and the most recent one being his truck. His favorite pastime was spending time with his girls and sitting on his back patio with his wife in the evenings to talk and just relax. Price had a unique ability to make you feel like the most important person in the room when talking with you. His passion for people was evident in his humble and caring nature, in all that knew him. Price was an avid sports fan, and very thankful that in his last year of life he got to see the Rangers finally win a World Series, the Stars make it to the Stanley Cup Finals, the Mavs make it to the Western Conference Finals, and the Cowboys...well let's not talk about them. Price is survived by his wife Jennifer, his daughters Mikayla and Jillian. His mother Pam and his sister Jo, and so many other family members and friends. He is preceded by his father Ralph aka Rusty.

Services will be held at 11am on Saturday, August 3rd at First United Methodist Church of Burleson located at 590 NE McAlister Road, Burleson, TX 76028. In support of his love of the game, any game, the family is asking the color blue be worn. Men, if they so choose, to wear a collared shirt representing any of the following teams: Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars, Dallas Mavericks, TCU or his hometown Holliday Eagles

The family welcomes donations in honor of Price to hospitals that he was grateful for, Texas Children's Heart Center @ texaschildrens.org or UTSW Simmons Cancer Center @ UTSouthwester.edu as an expression of sympathy in leu of flowers.
