Quintin Browne Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 3, 2024.
Quintin Marselles Browne, known to many as "Q", passed away on August 30, 2024, in Weilerbach, Germany, at the age of 25. Born on January 3, 1999, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, he was a cherished son, brother, husband, soldier, and friend whose early departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him.

Q graduated from West Salem High School in 2017, where he excelled as a multi-letter-winning athlete in soccer and wrestling. His passion for competition was matched by his love for video games, a "hobby" he enjoyed throughout his life.

Following high school, Q dedicated five years to the U.S. Army, serving in multiple Transportation Units (66&42) in Germany. His commitment to service was a significant part of his life, reflecting his deep sense of duty and patriotism. Q's military career was a source of pride and fulfillment, and he will be honored with a Military Funeral Honors, the details of which will be announced at a later date.

It was while in Germany serving for his country that he met and later married his wife Hannah on August 5th, 2021. They had begun to build a beautiful life together that included many traveling adventures, horse riding, and most recently a fur-baby addition to their family. He both loved and was loved by Hannah and all of her family during his time there.

Q was known for his introverted, quiet demeanor, which belied a charming, witty, and empathetic spirit. He was described by those close to him as "easy on the eyes" with "smooth" dance moves that could light up any room.

He leaves behind his wife, Hannah Sophie Browne; his father, William (Carly) Browne Jr.; his mother, Amy (Nolan) Nolte; siblings Chantel and Joseph Browne; bonus siblings Braeden, Jarek, and Kaedra Nolte, and Gitana Rave; paternal grandparents William (Gail) Browne Sr.; maternal grandparents Paul (Lori) Twite and Cheryl (Rich) Ristow; maternal great-grandmother Sharon Mead; his beloved fur-child Brohdi; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins; his in-laws Peter (Andrea) Schimmel, Henrik Schimmel, and Irmgard Ganjon and all of Hannah's extended family.

Q was preceded in death by his cherished pets, Momma-Kitty and Cisco, who his family believes were waiting to greet him on the other side.

Q's life, though brief, was marked by a profound capacity to touch lives deeply and about how he lived it and not how he ended it. His legacy of kindness, courage, and resilience will continue to inspire and influence all who had the fortune to know him.

If you or a loved one are struggling with mental health, reach out for help. You are not alone. It's okay to talk about it. The first step towards this is seeking help. Stay here. You are needed. Quintin would not have wanted to see someone else having the same difficulties.

Quintin was my cousin but he was always around when he could be, we always watched the packer games together when I was in kindergarten.

How excited he was to have LASIK and not go on missions. I ensured he got a position as the unit armorer and watched him cry (eyes wouldn´t stop tearing up) due to the aftermath of LASIK symptoms. He was always a fun to be around. I miss him dearly at work and often think of him when shenanigans come about. I will also never forget his stupid tarp saying HQ was "jealous" but ended up getting flooded during a storm in the field.

I met Quintin when he was just a little guy. I had the privilege of having him join my Daycare Family. He was a shy little guy but had so much to say with those sweet eyes. He was a easy going little boy and a friend to everyone

In 8th grad during a field trip Quintin noticed a couple of boys from another school giving me a hard time. Quintin went out of his way and gave up his field trip free time to spend time with me making sure they left me alone. He had a heart of gold and everyone knew it. He always check in with his friend no matter what and always knew how to get people to smile.
