TO THE SANTAVICCA FAMILY,

YOU DON'T KNOW ME BUT RENO WAS A GOOD FRIEND OF MY BROTHER RICKY ALI AND MR. SANTAVICCA HAD WORKED WITH OUR DAD. I JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT I AM VERY SORRY ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR SON-RENO. FROM WHAT I HEARD ABOUT HIM FROM MY STEP-MOM AND MY BROTHER, HE WAS A GREAT KID. RICKY TALKED ABOUT HIM ALL THE TIME DURING HIS VACATION IN CALIFORNIA THIS SUMMER AND EVEN CALLED HIM A FEW TIMES. I KNOW YOU ARE DEEPLY HURT AND ALL OF HIS FRIENDS ARE TOO, MY BROTHER IS ALSO DEEPLY AFFECTED BY THIS. I JUST WANTED TO SEND MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES AND LET YOU KNOW THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE ALL OVER THE COUNTRY THINKING ABOUT YOU IN THIS TIME OF NEED. MY FAMILY AND I ARE THINKING ABOUT YOU GUYS AND RENO. I WISH YOU THE BEST.

You have my deepest sympathy. Reno and I were friends from Presto and we played alot of street hockey together at Presto Park when we were younger. Reno, Rose, Jason, and Tony-

I love you all, you are like family to me. I can't explain why this happened, but I am here for you always. Reno has made such a big impact on so many people's lives in the short amount of time he had to live and we're all grateful for that. He will always be in my heart, for I could never forget my first true love. I will be praying for your family. With deepest sympathy...

To the Santavicca family:

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I've known Reno since the third grade. I went to school with him, was in the same graduating class, and also went to Parkway with him. He was in many of my classes, and I'll never forget how he always made everybody smile, always has something funny to say. He was just so friendly and easy going, so easy to talk to and get along with. It was so shocking to hear about what happed. I can only imagine the deepness of the loss that you are feeling at this terrible time. You have my most sincere sympathy.

Mr.& Mrs. Santavicca and sons, I knew Reno from playing up here on the hill at Presto Park and hanging with my sons, Dave and Josh. Your son was a very polite and nice young man and he will be very much missed by the "neighborhood". Reno also would stop in and visit my aunt, MaryLou Bertus, at Manorcare in Greentree when he worked there. It meant alot to her to have a fellow Prestonian visit her and he always made her smile. I can not begin to imagine your pain and sorrow and having 2 young men I hope I never will but I had to let you know we are all going to miss your young man. Deepest sympathy - Mindy McCartney (I use to work at the post office back in the 80's)

Rose,Reno,Jason and Tony: On this very sad and overwhelming day I want to send this poem to you all. It gave me great solace when a very special friend died and I hope it also helps you. Do not stand at my grave and weep,I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain; I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the mornings hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet bird's in circled flight. I am the soft star that shines at night.Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there; I did not die. Reno will always be here as well as a part of you. All my deepest sympathy.
