Rüdiger Wisch

Rüdiger Alfred Wisch, known to his loved ones as Rudi or Fochen, passed away on January 27, 2024, at the age of 59. Born in Verden, Germany, on July 4, 1964, Rudi brought light and warmth into this world that will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his loving father, Dieter Wisch; his devoted wife, Bevan; and his beloved children, Katja, Nina, and Marcus. Rudi was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Matzat Wisch, and his brother, Rolf Dieter Wisch.

Rudi's career was marked by a passion for electrical engineering and a commitment to excellence. He began his professional career at Focke & Co. in Verden, Germany, where he traveled extensively as a Field Service Engineer. It was during a work assignment in Japan that Rudi met his wife, Bevan. They eventually settled in Richmond, Virginia, where Rudi found work as a technical manager for Wella Manufacturing. This chapter of his career was particularly meaningful to him, as he felt a deep connection and respect for the people he worked with.

After Wella closed it's doors in Richmond, Rudi returned to Germany to serve as VP of Operations at Skinetta Pac-Systems. However, his heart led him back to Richmond once again, where he worked for Ondal Medical Systems and later created his own company, Wisch Technology Solutions. As a consultant Rudi assisted American companies in acquiring German high speed packing machines, showcasing his expertise and dedication to his craft.

Apart from his many professional accomplishments, Rudi received much love and appreciation as a technical support person for Clark and Wisch Painting Company. He diligently refurbished sanding equipment, rewired fans and work lights, and generally kept all the power tools in working condition. Although he did not receive monetary compensation for this work, he got a lot of points. He will be greatly missed. From now on, every time Bevan and Renee pull too hard on a cord trying to locate a device in the work van, they will be reminded of his work.

Rudi's life was rich with love for his family, friends, and pets. His kindness and steadfast presence were the cornerstones of his character, and his absence will be profoundly felt by all who were fortunate to know him.

A celebration of life ceremony is planned in April 2024 to honor Rudi's remarkable journey and the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Details of the service will be shared with friends and family closer to the date.

Rudi's legacy will live on through the memories of his loved ones, forever treasuring his warm heart, mischievous spirit and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
