We nephews and nieces are going to miss our Uncle Gene. . .his wit, his laugh, his big hugs, his firm handshakes, his interest in each of us. Like uncles do, he taught us a lot. Farewell, Uncle Gene.

My Grandpa ~ a patient, ornery, loving, laughing & compassionate man. I will remember & hold him in my heart always. There is not enough room here to tell what he meant to me. He taught me so many things during all our years together ~ how to fish, how to drive, how to wrap a gift (the RIGHT way), how to play eucre, how to laugh out loud & also how to weep in times of sorrow. He taught me patience & showed me love the only way he knew how...with tears in his eyes & a smile on his face. I am his Tonia 1/2 a dollar & he is my Grandpa for now & always. May we meet again & fish on a creek bank somewhere on the other side. I love you, Grandpa.

Our Uncle Gene was one of a kind. His laugh, his smile and his warm hugs will truly be missed. Our only regret is that we didn't get to see him one last time. Our hearts go out to the entire family. We know he is in Heaven with God and His Angels where there is no more pain and suffering and that one day we will all be together again. We miss you and love you Uncle Gene.
