Loren, Loren, Loren...I just turned 70...you should be too. You have missed so much of life. It's so sad. Miss you my friend. I hope you are in peace with God.

To Loren's Family, I had lost touch with Loren in recent years and wish I had known of his illness and location as I have been in State College many times a year for the last several years during my mother's declining health, and helping settle her affairs after she passed away. I'd have been happy to visit him. We were cronies for a number of years throughout college and beyond. I remember a sharp, bright, funny friend with whom many hours were spent talking about books and music. It's sad he left us so young, but he'll live in many people's memories and hopefully somewhere beyond our horizons.

To Loren's Family: I am so sorry to hear that Loren has passed away. We were classmates, graduating the same year from State High. He was always such a friendly person with a delicious sense of humor--and so kind. He was well thought of by a wide cross-section of people. May your hearts be comforted and may he rest in peace.

Dear Becky and family,

I am so sorry to hear of Loren's illness and death. We attended Lemont Elementary together, and I just talked about him with my sister a few days ago. He was always quiet and considerate, and I'm honored to have these fond memories. Please know I'm thinking of you during this difficult time. Loren will be missed.

Dear Pye family:

It is with great sadness I have just learned of my fellow classmate Loren's passing this past March. I remember Loren as a good person who was a pleasant, decent, and friendly young man and a credit to our school and the class of '72. I'm very sorry for your loss and I hope that your memories of the good times you spent with Loren have sustained you and will continue to give you comfort from your grief. May God Bless Loren and your family!

Sincerely:

Doug Robb

I was a SCHS classmate of Loren's (and had Mr. Pye for English one year, too), and happened upon the sad news about Loren on the alumni website. I'm so sorry. My heartfelt thoughts go out to you on the loss of your brother.

Loren and I were buddies in junior and senior high school. We went camping together and did a camping road trip with his father one time. We also did our senior prank together (no details on that, sorry). I don't remember meeting Rebecca, but my thoughts are with to you and your family. Bill Rathfon

Rebecca & Nicola, We all are finding comfort in knowing Loren is no longer suffering and is at rest. I can still remember him bouncing around in Mom & Dad's yard when you'd all come to visit. May he rest in peace.

To Loren's Family, I am so sorry to hear that he was ill and that he passed away! He sat next to me in 6th grade at Fairmount Avenue Elementary and we remained friends through Jr. & Sr. High at State College. Another great one from State High's Class Of '72 is no longer with us. I pray that God's "peace that passes all understanding" will surround you!

Sorry to learn of Loren's illness and recent passing. He and I 'hung out' in high school years. Won't forget his bell bottoms and passion for Iron Butterfly in Wilson's downstairs apartment.

Dear Becky - so sorry to hear about this - I did not even know that Lauren had a stroke. So many great memories of sleepovers at your house - and Lauren was always there - doing his jewlery work in your parents basement. Please contact me - I would enjoy talking with you - I have the fondest memories of both your Mom and Dad and Lauren (and of course you!). Love you, Kathy
