R. Iris Rogan

R. Iris Rogan, 63 of Olivehurst, Ca. Passed away on February 17th, 2014 with her family by her side.

She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend. She was born August 2, 1950 in Farmington, NM, where she resided until she was 22 years old. She lived in several states, including Colorado and Texas before relocating to California. She was a true woman of the southwest. She was a Yuba-Sutter resident since 1993. She had a long and successful career in the medical field, starting at the age of 18 where she worked as a certified nursing assistant and ward clerk. She worked as a certified medical assistant for 15 years in the Yuba-Sutter and Oroville areas. She had complete pride and dedication, serving in all of these communities. She was a nurturer of people, plants, and animals, as evidence by her deep love of family, patients, animals, and all living things.

Her survivors include her husband of 40 years, John Edward Rogan of Brooklyn, NY.; sons, John Christopher Rogan, and wife Marlo Rogan of Olivehurst, Ca. and Adrian Alfred Rogan, and wife Camio Rogan of Cottonwood, Ca. She has one daughter, Kimberly Rebecca Rogan of Marysville, Ca.; her sister, Carol Sanchez of Farmington, NM; and a brother, Alfred Carvill Jr. of El Paso, TX; grandsons include Zachariah Rogan of Halsted, Pa., Phillip Rogan, of Halsted Pa., and Paul John Rogan of Cottonwood, Ca.; granddaughters include Sierra Suzanne Rogan of Murietta, Ca., Rachel Rogan of Cottonwood, Ca., and Ashley Casillas of Halsted, Pa. She had one great grandson, Christopher Delgado.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Rilda Carvill. She also had a lifelong friendship with Kathleen Robinson of Denver, CO.

She will be missed by her faithful companion Lilly, her poodle, and cat Stuart Little that she adored dearly and her many other pets. She had the strength and heart of a fighter, and will be missed forever by her loved ones. She was the ultimate giver and a special soul. May she rest in peace. Our family will always honor her memory.

A Memorial service will be held at Lakeside Colonial Chapel, 830 D Street, Marysville, Ca. on Thursday, February 20th, 2014 at 1PM with a reception to follow.
