I am shocked and beyond words!
Trying to reach out to Rabbi Marc Wilson concerning the unrest and sad news in Isreal and found out that he passed. My condolences to his entire family! I met Marc, while I was a caregiver to his parents of blessed memories in Midtown, Atlanta off Cheshire Bridge Road in the 90s. And kept in contact with him after he moved Sophie his mother of blessed memories to Greenville, SC.
He was a very kind and caring person that never discriminate. Despite I was a mere caregiver, It was a tradition of inclusiveness in the Wilson´s household, which means that I must be at the table with the family during dinner and all Religious sabbath holidays. I learned a lot: Milk dishes and utensils separated from Meat dishes and utensils.
God bless his gentle soul, and may the good Lord comfort Linda, children and grandchildren

I just learned that Rabbi Wilson passed. He was the rabbi who bar mitzvahed me back in 1973 at Adas Shalom in Morton Grove,IL. He taught me one of the most important lessons in life: when we were selling some kind of charitable stamps for Israel, we could get gifts if we sold a certain amount. He suggested that rather than take the gifts, we raise charity for its own sake. I never forgot that one, and have tried to live my life to follow that wisdom. He reached out to me years later via Facebook--it was a blessing to have him back in my life, however distant. Shalom, Rabbi Wilson. You are missed but still ever present.

I just found out that Marc passed away. He was my dorm counselor at the Skokie Yeshiva my first year of high school 1967-1968. He was very helpful, a great guy. My sincere condolences to his wife and children.

On behalf of the Greenville SC NAACP and my family, my sincerest and heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, members of various synagogues, and well-wishers of Rabbi Marc Wilson, Founder and Director of the Year of Altruism in Greenville SC.

To the Wilson Family, please know our loving thoughts embrace you each and every day. Thank you for sharing Rabbi Wilson with us! His life truly was a reflection of the embodiment of altruism at its best. He stood even when shunned by his own. He showed love to the unlovable and gave hope to the hopeless. Great altruistic man, leader, and visionary! "May God comfort you among the other mourners of Zion and Jerusalem."

Rabbi Wilson, you will be greatly missed sir! Thank you for your service to humanity! The Greenville SC NAACP Unit #5522 salutes and honors you! Well done, thou good and faithful servant!

We met Marc when he was our rabbi in Charlotte. We remember him as a brilliant rabbi and scholar, a deeply committed social justice warrior, a devoted family man, and a good friend. No one could match his energy for all his endeavors. We extend our sympathy to Linda and all Marc's children and grandchildren. With love, Jessica and Allen Saxe

Rabbi Wilson was Mr. Wilson when we first met. He was a teacher who made Jewish learning fun. I cherish those years and am still honored that my bat mitzvah was the first simcha he officiated at. May his memory be a blessing for all who knew him. My to the family. BDE

Marc was our Rabbi in Charlotte and a good friend. After Marc, we have had at least a half dozen rabbis in Charlotte and Asheville. None of them could hold a candle to Marc for his erudition, eloquence, thoughtfulness, generosity, and kindness.

Dear Linda and family, We have wonderful memories of Marc -- as a rabbi, as a scholar, as a brilliant speaker, and perhaps most cherished of all as the man who married us 36 years ago. He was a shining light to so many of us. Wishing you peace and comfort in the happy memories that you have. Debbie (Langsam) and Joal (Fischer)
