Rabbi Rothstein was more than a Rabbi. He was my friend, he was an inspiration and I loved to hear him speak. At the age of 40 I had my Bar Mitzvah conducted by Rabbi. We became great friends even when he moved from California to Florida, every year before Yom Kippur, Rabbi would call and we would catch up on our families and activities. I always found him to be very positive and joyous. He certaintly will always be remembered as my Rabbi and my friend. My whole family, my wife Beverly and my 2 daughters will always have fond memories of my Rabbi.

I send my deepest condolences to Rabbi Rothstein's family. My late husband, Rabbi Meir Berger, began a long and close relationship with Rabbi Rothstein when he was the Cantor at the Fort Lee Jewish Center, and my husband had deep respect and affection for the Rabbi. And I was most grateful to be able to often speak with him on the phone in the past two years...he was most comforting and supportive after the death of Rabbi Berger. Rabbi Rothstein was a truly special human being, and I shall miss him.

I loved Rabbi Rothstein. I admired the dignity and warmth with which he led a congregation and the people in it. Although I hadn't seen him in many years, I will miss knowing that he is still living. I know he will always be with us...
