The first time I met Mrs. Rachel Cantu, I was around 11 yrs old in 1970.
Alfonso Jr. and I were in the 4th grade at Lamar Elementary, and I went to his house to work on a school project. She was always very generous and polite, she served us a Bologna and Cheese sandwich and ice tea, it tasted great.Throughout the years she remained the same caring and polite person, to everyone.
I cherish the times I was invited to family outings.
Alfonso and I grew up , went about our lives. To this day , I tell my wife
Alfonso's Mom made a great Bologna and Cheese sandwich.

Though haven't seen in person, through the stories Connie told me everyday, I feel like I have known for ages. She was a fun loving and caring mom who brought immense happiness to people around her including me. My prayers are with everyone who has been touched by her love and energy to stay strong and pass this time with a lot of courage.
With love and prayers,
Chandni

Aunt Rachel was a very caring, loving and devoted mother, wife, and family member to me. She had a sense of humor no one could match. My memories of her cooking is a memoral impression I will never forget. She is now in the presence of God with her mother and sister (my mother).
I have always carried a special love in my heart for her. My prayers and condolence to my uncle Alfonso and children, and grandchildren.
