Rachel Royce Obituary
Rachel Gail Royce, born March 7, 1972, was a daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to everyone she met throughout her life. Rachel grew up in Palm Beach Gardens. She was also an athlete, artist, creative cook, cat rescuer, and devoted Dallas Cowboys fan! She excelled at softball, coached by her father Gordon Royce.
Rachel graduated from high school with the class of 1990. She was a Medical Assistant and then an independent caregiver, sharing her many talents and providing an eclectic energy and sparkle to her clients' lives.
Rachel enjoyed life and was always the life of the party. All who knew her will long remember her saucy spirit and her love for all. Rachel is survived by her mother, Abigail Royce, sister, Kathy Hale, brother in law, John Hale, sister, Sheila Wilkie, brother in law, Paul Wilkie, sister, Amy Royce, brother in law, Jeff Lasnier, nieces, Morgan and Natalie Hale and Amber and Caitlin Wilkie, an extended family in New England, her many friends and her beloved kitty "Majik".
Rachel was preceded in death by her father, Gordon, whom she is surely enjoying a game of catch with.
Her memorial service will be a private family gathering. Donations in her memory can be made to the Palm Beach Gardens Youth Athletic Association fund, Peggy Adams animal rescue, or the Covenant Centre International Ministry food distribution program.

Rachael was always the life of the party, BBQ, or social gathering. She is, and always will a part of my extended family. She was the only person I knew that could nurture orchids to re-flower, and thrive. She gave great hugs, when you needed one the most, and always had the brightest smile when she was happy. Her laugh was contagious, and she always made you feel at home, when she had a get together at her place. I am very sad about her passing, and send my sincere condolences to her family, and friends.

In one of her last messages to me, Rachel wrote, "If I should die tomorrow I want you to know honestly that I truly loved you and I still do..." From day one she accepted and encouraged. Rachel had a large hand in shaping the person I have become. The dauntlessness in me still grows to this day and that's how she lives through me. She knew how thankful I was to her.

The day before she passed, we spoke about our class reunion in July and getting together soon and she was so looking forward to her new job. My heart broke to hear that my sweet friend was gone. We have all lost dear friends too soon , so I like to think Im missing one heck of a reunion in heaven. I will miss you Rachel, but I know you are smiling down at us. I wish I could hug your family. I just know you had an extra special Fathers Day now that you have been reunited with your Dad. I smiled today when I thought of that.

We have known the beautiful Royce family for over 4O years as friends and neighbors on Begonia Street. I will never forget the warm welcome we received from Amy and Rachel bringing a welcome gift to our family when we moved in. We had so many amazing times together on peanut island camping and playing hot seat. Rachel did my hair and makeup for my wedding day and always had such a fun loving outgoing personality. She will be missed by many and loved by all that know her. My family grew up next to the Royce family. We played as kids but then I became closer with Rachel's beautiful sister Amy at 15 years old and still to this day . You couldn't be friends with Amy and not know Rachel. Those two were amazingly close and Amy always looked out for her. Rachel was a beautiful soul with alot of spunk. I was so sorry to hear of Rachels passing. She is one of the most beautiful people that I have ever known. Even from as far back as middle school she was someone that genuinely loved all people. Nobody was without a friend and nobody was ever alone when they knew Rachel. She had this incredible ability to find those that needed a friend and then becoming the ultimate friend to them for a lifetime. I know that heaven is celebrating her arrival but here on earth things have become less bright without her.
