I had the pleasure of working with Rachel as the Associate Media Relations Director while at The Citadel. I got to cover three of her four years during my time. I loved working with such a great young woman, who was always smiling, bubbly and super articulate in her interviews. The way that she conducted herself as someone who cared about others was a mark of who she was and how she was raised.

We are all beyond sad and heartbroken for the loss of such an amazing and special person. Rachel was loved by everyone and she will be missed so much. We are praying for Yvonne, Jake, and all of her family.

I had the pleasure of coaching Rachel for her last 2 years at the Citadel. She was one of the brightest, kind , loving players I have coached to this day. She was always there for her teammates, an incredible leader, and someone who always did the right thing on and off the court. My heart goes out to her and her family in this time. I pray for peace for Rachel and also for all that are affected by this tragedy. You will forever be loved Keef.

I had the pleasure of coaching Rachel in junior high at lakeside for volleyball. My heart is broken to learn of her passing. She was such a smart, amazing , much loved young lady! My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and loved ones. ❤
