Rafael Molina, affectionately known as Rafailito to his family and Ralph to the world, was born in Vícam, Sonora, Mexico on August 31st, 1969 and left to be with his ancestors on February 22nd, 2025 in San Jose, CA. He leaves behind a void that is impossible to fill.

Ralph had a kind heart and free spirit. He was a man full of affection and charisma. He will forever be remembered for his warm smile and infectious laughter. Everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him has a story about him. He knew how to live life to its fullest and did so on his terms. He helped so many people throughout his life, whether it was letting them sleep on the floor of his shop because they were homeless, or helping his sisters buy homes, helping a friend fix their car, or feeding his friends and neighbors. He was a man of great generosity, even in times when he had very little.

He also leaves behind countless contributions to his community. His life's labor can be found all over the Bay Area in the things he built and the lives he saved. Ralph began working as a child shortly after he migrated to San Jose to help provide for his mom and siblings, sometimes working the graveyard shift cleaning restaurants in downtown San Jose. He developed a strong work ethic very young and developed a unique talent to fix anything. He was a teen parent and had no problem working multiple jobs to provide for his young family. Over the years, he mastered numerous trades-remodeling homes, installing surveillance systems for businesses, setting up security for small shops, repairing engines, and crafting elaborate car audio systems. His work could be seen throughout the Bay Area in the homes he improved and the businesses he secured. He also selflessly served and protected his community as a Reserve Officer with the San Jose Police Department. He was intelligent, highly skilled, incredibly hard working and fearless.

Ralph was truly the smartest, strongest, most resourceful, and talented person many of us ever knew. He was capable of overcoming nearly every obstacle he faced. He is now with God whom he never lost faith in, even in his hardest times. Regardless of the circumstances of his passing, no one can take away his accomplishments, his good deeds, and the joy he brought to anyone in his presence. We ask that you remember him for his remarkable moments as there were many.

Ralph had a large, loving family. He is survived by his proud children, Rosemarie Molina and Alex Molina, his grandchildren, Nayeli Carlin Molina, Moses Carlin Molina, Phoenix Molina and Arthur Molina, his loving sisters, Elizabeth Molina, Marcia Molina, Manuela Molina, Maribel Castro and Oralia Madero and his caring brother Jose Zarate. He also leaves behind his cousin Rolando Arredondo, and over 30 nieces and nephews who have warm memories of their beloved Tío. He is joining his mother, Martha Varela, father Rafael Molina, eldest sister, Alma Ramos, and nephew, Jorge Barra, in eternal paradise. He is finally at peace and elated to be welcomed into the Kingdom of God.

As we grapple with his loss, we are raising funds for his funeral to provide him with the dignity he deserves. We want to celebrate him in death as he celebrated us in life. Should you find it in your heart to contribute you can do so at bit.ly/ralphsfuneral.

____________
