Raffaella Gallucci, beloved wife of the late Rocco Gallucci of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the age of 93 years. Raffaella was born in Aprigliano, Cosenza, Italy, to her loving parents, Rocco and Rosaria. She grew up to be an amazing wife and mother; cooking and caring for her family was her passion. Her children will always remember her as the "Best Mom Ever". She was also a devoted St. Anthony's Catholic Church parishioner since 1955. Raffaella is survived by her sons, Agostino (Joann), Frank (Tina), Mario (Kathy); granddaughters, Christa (Jim) Chappelle, Alissa (Amanda) Priolo; great- grandson, Rocco Chappelle; brother, Antonio (Gilda) Savoia; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her loving husband, Rocco, Raffaella was predeceased by her siblings, Demetri, Marietta, Vincenzo, Alberto, Alfredo, Etterino, and Conchetta; and parents Rocco and Rosaria Savoia. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Catholic Church (5340 – 4th Street S.W., Calgary, AB) on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the church. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Mausoleum (3219 - 4 St NW, Calgary, AB). Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Providence Care Center, 149 Providence Boulevard SE, Calgary, AB T2X 0X2 Telephone: (587) 393-1350. In living memory of Raffaella Gallucci, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.

Dear Augustino, Frank & Mario - it is with great sadness I read of your Mom's passing - I remember happy days when you all played with our children just a few doors down from your house. And your Dad used to stop outside my kitchen window on his way to Mass every morning and wave. A lovely family - your Mom made the best spaghetti sauce ever.

I am sadden to hear of your mother's passing. I will always remember fondly the days when we were young and spent many happy times with your Mom cooking in the kitchen. She always had a beautiful smile enjoying her time with her sons! She was proud of the three of you! God be with you all at this sad time.

My sisters and brother and I grew up on 52nd Avenue, right next-door to the Gallucci's. We've known the family since 1955. Raffaella wasn't able to live on her own, in her beloved home, for many years now, therefore, it wasn't a surprise to hear of her death, but still, it was very sad news. I'll miss her. She was always very good to me. I have many fond memories. My condolences to Gus, Frank, Mario and family.
