Ragnar was much more than just speaking or enjoyed listening to someone speak another language. He met many in his travels who spoke all different languages.

He loved history and was deeply curious in knowing and understanding how the Vikings got the NL - the first settlers in L'Anse aux Meadows on the northernmost tip of Newfoundland. As a present on his birthday, Clayton surprised him with a Viking hat but was too small for Ragnar's head :)

It is a beautiful part of Newfoundland and the picturesque view was breathtaking!

Dr. R. Dworschak's favorite saying was "Cheers" in his good byes or hello's.
When Ragnar realized I was not from Canada he would say "na zdravi" I heard my parents say this as "cheers".
His enthusiasm to communicate with all cultures was unique as mine
since I picked words from many cultures.
It is very much Chekhov-Russian, the older generations.
I understood was not sure whether it was German or other. I admired those who knew my language.

Do not be troubled about a backpack.

Ragnar and I visited the UofM Gift store and he bought the most beautiful black and orange backpack. He asked me of my opinion and I told him which one to buy.

Ragnar, the wonderful human being he was, material things did not matter to him. He moved on from the fact that the old one ripped. That was life, this is what he said.

I fell in love with your mind; a wonderful circuitry. Your colorful language, your thoughtful and careful deeds; your exuberant energy, they all created a melody of sounds and movements for anyone who had the foresight to see it!

"Ragnar, I remember your huge knapsack from The University of Manitoba with their logo on it you carried always."
I saw you again you were upset your knapsack had a tear in it, it was covered with pins you collected over the years.
You went back and bought a new one but it did not match the old one I was surprised you did not put all yours on it.
Perhaps you kept it in safe keeping.

You basically just emanated some sort of very soothing and relaxing energy. You taught me that we can just share energy, can just BE, and exchange.

The inquisitive “child” in you was always there my dear Ragnar!

Choosing an attitude of wonderment, taking in all that is being said without assuming you already know what is being said to you. But from time to time, you shared your views and having wonderful, amusing dialogues dressing them up with jokes and laughter.

Never jumping in to finish his/her thoughts. In order to learn, you then had to risk change – change your mind, but you never did. Your beliefs were yours and yours alone, and well-defended at that.

You were born with a uniqueness to discover and explore. You needed to see Earth this World in it's many forms. Your travels gave you the sight to see things with your own imagination and the reality that exists in all.
Which is where your interest in science came to you to discover.

Dearest Ragnar, you lived your life in freedom to experience in all things. Never did one event stop you from living to yours hearts desire.
Your desire to be admired as a man was your greatest strength.
It is, was with your angel wings you took off like there was no tomorrow.
You saw in your eyes what the world had to offer and what the world was made of in your genius mind.
The greatest effort did you put into this life in every single way.

Your entire life, you approached life in two simple ways; You took charge of your life and destiny and had the courage to carry it out!

May you find peace in your heart and healing in your soul.

Your brother was the glue that held you together. He embodied adventure, charm, fragility, curiosity, determination and conviction and he made you proud and happy, always.

As is Christ's Love, Ragnar's love will remain strong and is watching over you.

Know that the lives that he touched will never be the same but we must trust in God that his Will be done and He has given Ragnar the treasures of his soul.

When you see this blazing, bright light – that is his heart glowing over the heavens.
