Rainer Johannes Sundberg June 1, 1952 - July 25, 2013 Rainer was born in Helsinki, Finland and immigrated to Canada in 1972. He was a man of many trades but eventually found his calling working for Molson Canada. Rainer leaves behind his son Ely, sister Tuula, brothers Eki and Henkka in Canada and brother Rofa, sister Aili and Mother Toini in Finland. He was predeceased by his father Figge. He also leaves behind many other family members in the lower mainland and Finland. He was loved by many and will be sorely missed by his dog Megan and by his friend and former wife Fran Icard who was by his side til the end. The family would like to thank everyone who played a big part in Rainer's life and visited him while he was in Chilliwack hospital. Rainer was a character and a charmer who gave us many wonderful and fun-filled memories. You'll always be in our hearts.

As I think of Rainer, a myriad of little moments flash through my mind. I respected him for speaking his mind and being forthright with his opinions. And it is impossible for me not to smile as I can still hear his Finnish accent and booming laughter ringing in my ears. It seems incongruous that someone so vibrant is gone so quickly. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to work with him, he truly was a character and I will miss him.
