CHILLICOTHE - Ralph R. Carr, age 83, of Chillicothe died on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care Center in Chillicothe.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013, at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Pastor Clarence Small will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date at Swan Lake Memory Gardens, Peoria.
Ralph was born on July 3, 1929, in Peoria the son of Joseph E. and Ruth E. (Dillon) Carr. He married Betty l. Stauffer on Nov. 16, 1950, in Peoria. She preceded him in death on Nov. 24, 2008.
Ralph worked for Caterpillar, Inc. in Mossville for 35 years before retiring.
He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church on Knoxville Avenue in Peoria.
Ralph is survived by a son, David (Robin) Carr of Chillicothe; daughter, Debra (John) Bowles of Anoka, Minn.; four grandchildren, Melissa (Matt) Peterson of Neponset, Craig (Diana) Carr of San Antonio, Texas, Brandon (Cori) Bowles of Lincoln, Neb., ane Danelle (Derrek) Herra of Colton, Calif.; four great-grandchildren, Skylar, Jasmin and Draven Peterson of Neponset and Adelyn Bowles of Lincoln, Neb.; a brother, Glen (Betty) Carr of Napa, Calif., and a brother Merle (Sally) Carr of Peoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brother, Harold.
In lieu of flowers memorials donations may be given to his church or to Hospice Compassus.

David and Robin, I am so sorry to hear about Ralph. I would have been at the visitation but did not know until I was in church this morning. Again, I am so sorry.

David and Robin, Debby snd John and families. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you in the loss of Ralph. He was a great man with a wonderful sense of humor! We will always have warm memories of him anf are so glad he came with David & Robin to Dad's visitation. God bless all of you.
