Ralphie boy, RIP.
I knew Ralphie cakes for almost forty fabulous years and I can't believe he's gone.
In the Jewish community, upon the passing of a loved one it is common to sit Shiva where the loved ones of the deceased mourn him/her for seven days following the burial.
Less well-known is the tradition of where friends of the deceased visit the deceased's apartment/house and gather those items that were important to the individual who passed away.
My wife was honored to sit at Ralph's apartment the day after he died.
Ralphie boy, rest easy. , my ffriend.

My heart hurts to hear of the loss of Ralph. I was so shocked. I´m very sad for the Cirella family. I have been listening to the stern show since 1995 and always found Ralph to be so sarcastic funny and very confident in his opinions. I wish I could be more like him! Maybe I´ll endeavor to be this way! He had so much confidence ! Sending hugs to his family.

Imagine a person who millions of people never met but was revealed to you in a very raw 3 dimensional, out pouring of love and memories. This was Ralph. For those who did know Ralph and loved, liked and shared his orbit, his foibles, his imperfections, unknown empathy and kindness, humour and idea machine the theft of him must be immeasurable. Thank you both, The Howard Stern Show and The Cirella family for sharing him with us in many forms. I am one of the millions who never met him, but in some crazy inexplicable way had a fondness and appreciation for him. Deep heartfelt condolences to all.
