My deepest condolences to the Gels family on the loss of their patriarch, Ralph. I’m from the Philadelphia area and have stayed at the Gels Bed & Breakfast many times when visiting family. Ralph was always a kind, gracious host and gentleman. It was obvious he cared for his wife, Janet, deeply and was a proud father, grandfather, and family man. I was blessed to have met him. May God’s love comfort you all.

Our deepest sympathy to Janet, Toni, and Scott. Your Bed and Breakfast was a great help for us for many years since my mother was at Briarwood. We enjoyed Mercer County stories whenever we visited. The lighthouse bug must be contagious as good friends will be joining the volunteer keepers soon.

Ralph, trying to summarize your life is an impossible task. You impacted so many lives and brought so much happiness to the world, words on a page are not enough. Thanks for your influence on our family. We appreciated all you did with the Squires and the KofC. You were always full of good ideas, except maybe for the deep fried Twinkies. But you could make us laugh.
God's Peace,

My deepest sympathy goes out to Janet, Toni, and Scott during this difficult time. Ralph, without a doubt, was one of the best. He had a hand in guiding countless Coldwater Squires into the men they are today, including myself. I'm not sure if he volunteered for it or was appointed but he was a perfect choice to lead the Squires. RIP "Father Ralph", and thanks for the countless Columbian Squire memories.
Loved knowing you!!
