I am praying for God's peace to rest upon the Livengood family. I had Ralph for biology at Otter Creek and credit him with my decision to become a scientist. He made it so much fun, and interesting. He was the best teacher I ever had, bar none.

Dear Livengood Family,
I had the privilege of having Mr. Livengood for a teacher at Sarah Scott,1973. He was a great man, and great teacher. Trust me, not all teachers live up to that. Keep his memories alive, you are his legacy. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Livengood family-
Much love to you all. What a treat it is to say that Mr. Livengood was my teacher. He put his heart into every class he taught and made us snap out of our self-involved teenage lives. I was initially freaked out to find we were going to a hog farm for a class trip, but I will remember the hands-on experience forever. He was a wonderful, kind man with an equally wonderful family. My heart and prayers are with you.

Nancy,
Words cannot express the sorrow I feel right now in the passing of one of my oldest teaching buddies from my early days at Sarah Scott and the years since then. Ralph was a true gentleman, a fantastic educator and a wonderful man. He will be missed by so many for so long to come. I am so greatful that we were able to share a few moments at our class reunion this year. My thoughts and prayers are with you. And though I will be here in AZ on Tues, my thoughts will be with you and the girls that day and for days to come. God bless you all.

I will never forget our Advanced Biology's adventures in Swine Time. Mr. Livengood always took the extra steps to not only offer an educational experience, but an entertaining one as well. I was never bored in his classroom and I have no doubt the mark that he left on his students. My prayers go out to Mrs. Livengood and your family. What an amazing gift and legacy to have left behind...to have touched so many lives is beautiful and remarkable, just like Mr. Livengood. God Bless you during this difficult time.

Mr. Livengood was my 7th grade Science teacher at Sarah Scott. The school was so crowded that year we had to have our class in the cafeteria! That was almost 40 years ago and I still remember what a great teacher he was.

Dear Nancy and Girls,
I just learned of your father's passing and was saddened to understand this to be the case. I always admired Ralph for his passion to teach and marveled at his ability to make learning fun for so many students. Few people in life have the opportunity to positively impact so many individuals as Ralph did in his 66 years. Each of you can be assured that your father's life here on earth was full of purpose and that he is looked upon favorably in heaven above.

I had Mr. Livengood as a Science teacher at Otter Creek. Even after I graduated from Otter Creek Jr. High to Terre Haute North High School he soon joined the teaching staff at North. I'd occasionally see him in the hallways and say hi. He'd say "hi Chris", remembering me by name. Out of thousands of students he taught, he knew many of his students by name, I consider that a rare trait.
Mr Livengood was a great teacher, he made science class fun! I know many students loved his ways of hands-on teaching. Him and his teaching skills will be sorely missed. My God bless his soul into eternal everlasting life.

Dear Nancy and Girls,
I was saddened to read of Ralph's passing. He worked so hard and so long to earn his retirement. He was an excellent teacher and was a great neighbor at North---an across- the- hall neighbor. I cherish the friendship of both of you and know he will be missed.

Dear Mrs. L and family,
I was so sorry to hear the news today, my family and I will be praying for you all. Though it was a healthy dose of Mrs. L that took me to the career I had on the stage, I find myself now almost halfway through veterinary school wading through herds of cows and remembering Mr. L's Dairy Daze trips. He was a wonderful, memorable teacher even for a boy who, at the time, never expected his life to take the turn it did. Please accept my sympathy for this great loss.

I had Mr. Livengood as a Science teacher and he was a great teacher...always willing to help out and go the extra mile to make sure a student understood his teachings. He is still one of the teachers I remember very vividly. We one remembers a teacher from so long ago...that is truly the testament that they have touch a student's life whether they realize it or not. Thank you, Mr. Livengood.

Love you Uncle Ralph! I guess I should have told you how my oldest memory of you is getting your green, I think, rolling chair and getting to sit in it when I was little whenever we were here visiting and we all ate together at the table! :) You will be missed!
